 21 Tips For Among Us Impostors 

1. Your kill cooldown doesn't go down while you're in the vents

2.  It helps to know where vent go, so you know where to kill and what your next move will be

3. Only the Medbay Scan, Priming Shields, Shooting Asteroids, and Garbage Disposal are visual tasks, meaning you can see them

4. Admin Swipe and Insert Keys are common tasks, if one person has the task, everyone does, so don't fake them if other Crewmates aren't doing it 

5. Instead of walking away from a task and having the chance that someone saw the taskbar not go up, do a task that normally takes a long time to do, like downloading or uploading, and wait for the taskbar to go up. Once it does, it's your cue to leave, looking like you did the task

6. Never say you saw someone if the lights are off because there's a chance they couldn't see you, since the lights don't go off on your screen. Always say "it was too dark, I couldn't see anyone"

7. Do stack kills - Stack Kill / verb / To kill a random Crewmate while all the Crewmates are standing in one spot, normally to fix a sabotage - Stack kills are very good because people will start accusing each other of killing since they couldn't see who actually killed

8. Don't go into a room and then immediately leave when no one (or multiple) Crewmates are there - this is suspicious. Instead, pretend to do a task (see tip #5) so it seems as though you're just simply doing tasks

9. Don't speak in long sentences, because if someone asks you where you have been (or something like that) and you start typing a long paragraph, two things can happen. 1 - You can run out of time, and then it seems like you didn't answer, which is really suspicious / 2 - You can run out of letters. You can only use 100 characters at a time, and long paragraphs tend to use around 150-200, so be really careful. Don't take the time to count, simply click out of your typing keyboard (if on a iPad/iPhone, etc.) and see how many characters you have left. 

10. Some colors are used by the developers to test out their game. If one color is constantly becoming The Impostor, make sure to get that color next round! The colors I've found that work are Lime, Yellow, White, and Orange, but every server has it's own "Impostor Color", so play a few rounds and you'll see

11. Don't constantly self-report, or people might be a little iffy about you

12. Be consistent when you talk so people don't sus you out because you weren't talking, or be constantly inconsistent

13. Do double kills, they get rid of Crewmates quickly - Double Kill / verb / when two Impostors kill two Crewmates at the same time

14. Don't vent aimlessly - make sure you know where that vent goes and how you're gonna use it well, and don't just vent because you want to

15. Never rat out your fellow Impostor, and don't always go along with people saying they're suspicious, sometimes you want to defend them

16. Form a bond with a Crewmate so that your fellow Impostor(s) can kill, but you'll be vouched for by your new friend

17. Learn how long tasks normally take so you can pretend to do tasks even better 

18. Don't say "If it's not them, vote me" because if you're sussing a Crewmate, then you'll be orbiting in space in no time

19. You can stand in front of a dead body to hide it, it works better with a pet

20. Pretend to say "you're new", so that when you self report, you can act like you didn't know where it was

21. DON'T KILL IN FRONT OF CREWMATES
